Reworked and reconfigured Kirk Olsson's Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon for FSX added a rebuilt 2D panel with multiple pop up windows with usable autopilot, engine gauges, multifunction displays, navigation aids, working radar readable HUD and pushback taxi control; it has a 3D panel do to model limitations it is lacking in the goodies. So the 2D is better than it has to be. There is a new sound file and flight configuration file. Landing speeds are now that of a real F-16 at 120 to 130knts. The paint schemes are by Mark Rooks and the basic panel layout is by Eric Marciano. There are multiple new freeware gauges installed all tailored for FSX. Three models are included with package a fully loaded strike aircraft, and minimum defense with only to sidewinder missiles and the clean version with the Thunderbird 1 livery. Also there are several new camera views for your enjoyment. Extensively tested on FSX by a real world Lockheed Martin test pilot and will not work with FS2004 or FS2002.

Thanks Maddog for testing this aircraft.

To install:

Follow instructions carefully!!!

After opening this zip file you will notice 3 separate sub-folders 1st is the simobjects folder open in the you will find a folder named airplanes open that folder, then copy and paste the folder named F16C into your FSX airplane folder the default path is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes

Next open the Sound folder copy the two folders inside and paste into the main sound folder of FSX. It default path should be, C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Sound

Finally open the folder named Gauges copy all the contents inside and paste into the main FSX Gauge folder its default path should be, C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Gauges

Next if you have not installed FSUIPC 4 then you need to do so, you can find it at Flightsim.com under the Must Have Files heading. This will allow the radar to track its targets.

Now if anyones item is used that I did not give credit for, I am truly sorry I did not mean to use something without notification. Everything used is a freeware item.

Finally after all the pieces are in place lets go fly!!!

Now for the legal stuff:

I did not create these files, I only put them together. The original models are by Kirk Olsson and the repaints are by Mark Rooks. The panel bitmap and base outline are by Eric Marciano all credit for there creation must go to them. Now what I did is find some freeware gauges and recreate the latest version of the F-16 Block 60 series, it is loosely based more toward the F-35 layout than the Block 50-52 series. The sound package is again another freeware item. I tweaked the flight configuration to match what my test pilot required to match what the 60s are doing.

I am not responsible for any damage that these files my cause, if your computer detonates, erupts, falls to pieces its not my fault. These files are freeware and cannot be used for profit, nor can any money be made from them. The copy rights are that of the original owners and all applicable laws apply to them.

Play with it, hack it, do repaints, give to friends or enemies, but do not make money off of it without my express approval or that of the original owners.

It may not be sold or bundled! These files are not warranted in any fashion.
